"But their idols are silver and gold, made by the hands of men. They have mouths, but cannot speak, eyes, but they cannot see; they have
ears, but cannot hear, noses, but they cannot smell; they have hands, but cannot feel, feet, but they cannot walk; nor can they utter a sound with their throats. Those who make them will be like them, and so will all who trust in them." - Psalm 115:4-8

In the past few months the Lord has been using Psalm, chapter 115, verses 4-8 to really remind me that the gods of this nation are not real!!! And they can be overcome by the prayers and obedience of His people. Hallelujah! I still feel so humbled that the Creator of the universe would trust me to help the Thai people to be set free through Christ from the demonic strongholds that Satan has on them. Although I am still seeking him for wisdom on how to exactly do that with my language limitations, which, to be honest, can be quite frustrating at times! I thank the Lord for his grace!

Since I haven't really written lately about what we have been doing over here, I will do so now.
In the last 2 1/2 months, I have spent a week with our team, and more of our fellow
missionaries who are serving in the North, in a town called Songkhla. I have celebrated Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's away from my family for the first time, been to Malaysia for three days again for visa renewal, traveled north about 16 hrs. to and from Khorat (3 hrs. northeast of Bangkok), made a last minute trip a week after coming home from Khorat back up to Bangkok with the Stubenrauchs, and started back to learning Thai after having a 2 month break. It's been a very busy 2 1/2 months and it has all been good!

The highlight of all those trips for me was our team's week in
Songkhla(December), which I have already mentioned in a few posts below.

Since our time there, the Lord has been "opening doors that no man can shut, and shutting doors that no man can open". The people in our village have been more receptive and two families have accepted Christ as their Savior! In fact, one of the couples, who had been living together unmarried and have a child, were married this past Sunday in our little church to show their commitment to one another before God and their new brothers and sisters in Christ. Such a blessing to see!

We continue to pray that the Lord's power and love will sweep across this nation and He will draw his people unto Himself.
Thank you so much for your prayers, emails, notes on Facebook and financial gifts. I have truly acquired an even better understanding of how important friends and family are by being in Thailand. Aside from God's grace and His promises to supply our every need, I don't know what I would do without each and every one of you. I love you! And I wish every one of you could join us here to see the hand of God on this nation.

With Love,
Megan

I have been able to buy a scooter of my own now thanks to a friend in America!
